May 7th, 2012
So if you’ve been in our services lately, you’ve heard all the buzz about GMO! What is it, and what’s the big deal? It’s a whole new direction for our church and we’re super excited about it!In a nutshell, CCM has linked arms with a ministry called Global Media Outreach (GMO) that enables ordinary Christ Followers to reach people around the world with the gospel - without ever leaving home! Millions of people around the globe search the Internet for answers to life. GMO has made a way to get them in touch with Christ Followers who become online missionaries! They supply training and resources, so you don’t have to be a theologian to do it!
The results are staggering! Tons of people are being reached through this ministry everyday, even in remote locations and countries that are closed to the gospel! We caught up with Pastor Mark to get his take on this, and trust me, he’s excited!
“GMO is going to change our church more than anything we’ve done in the last 20 years!” he explained. “We’ve already got more people participating than any other church in the nation, and we’ve just started! It’s a new day! God is opening doors no man can shut! And it’s not that we have such great answers or wisdom. The answers from God’s Word and the power of the Spirit make the difference, because only God can change a life.”
“Basically we have two bottom lines,” he continued. “Everyone is either saved or lost, and lost people matter to God. His will is that none perish, so that’s where we come in. Matthew 28:19-20 tells us to make disciples of every tribe, every tongue and every nation. That’s God’s heart for the whole world and those are His marching orders for every person. Many of these people have no one to ask while we’re loaded with information! This gives us an opportunity to share what we’ve learned from God’s Word with people who are truly seeking.”
Steve Slesinger is an elder here at CCM and signed up with GMO last December before it was presented to the congregation. Let’s just say they should pay him for his advertising! Over the past five months, of the 196 countries in the world, Steve has already talked to people in 74 of them! In other words he’s done mission work in over one third of the countries in the world - without leaving his house! It’s like a mini-mission trip to people all around the globe delivered to your inbox! Amazing!
Steve said he typically gets two new emails a day and has corresponded with countries like Abu Dhabi (UAE), Afghanistan, Albania, Algeria, Azerbaijan, Bosnia/Herzegovina, Botswana, Bulgaria, Cambodia, Gaza, India, Hong Kong and Ukraine to name a few!
“The most exciting part for me is getting to talk to someone half way around the world in a place I’ll probably never get to visit; to someone I will probably never meet until I get to heaven!” Steve explained. “It’s so cool! “Many of them are in countries without great churches and preaching, and it’s such a privilege to point them on the right path.”
He continued, “Most simply want to know how to grow in their faith, so you just use a template answer to guide them to a website for mentoring. But when you do get a personal question or prayer request, God will remind you of a teaching or a scripture you’ve heard - whatever that person needs. These are real people. You know their names. You talk to them. It will change your faith, I promise you.”
“Jesus came to seek and save the lost,” concluded Pastor Mark. “That was His heart, and if we’re His followers, it should be ours too. This is a door God has opened to us right here, right now to do that! I’m very excited about it! In fact I’ll probably keep talking about it until Jesus comes back!”
Four easy steps to become an online missionary:
1. Go to the CCM website, select your campus and click on the Global Media Outreach Banner. You will be asked to describe your journey with Jesus and give 2 spiritual references. The response back from the person (Community Leader, Bible study leader or small group leader) completes the process for GMO to review the application. (Please let your 2 references know to be watching for an email).
2. Once your spiritual reference(s) responds, you will be notified when your application is approved. At that time you will be asked to review the training materials and respond back when you have completed that review. Once you indicate that you have reviewed the materials and have your user name and password for the email response system (called ARC), you will be placed in a training community for 4 weeks and will begin answering live emails.
3. Once you start answering emails, you will have a Training Community Leader who is there to help you with all questions that come up along the way. After training, your Church Community Leader is there to help with any questions you may have and adjust the flow of emails into your mailbox as required. You will have the ability to stop new emails coming to your mailbox when on vacation or are otherwise not available.
4. After you complete the 4 week training period, you will be moved into our church’s community. To help you answer emails, GMO provides templates to use in your responses, a database to help you answer any questions and a website where you can find best practices and feedback from other online missionaries.
Thank you for your willingness to always be ready to share your faith!

Men’s Breaking Free Conference
May 1st, 2012
Friday, June 15th – 7pm FREE Event!
Melbourne Campus Sanctuary
Our sin breaks us more than we could ever know, but God’s grace takes us further than we could ever imagine. Problems and struggles can keep us chained like slaves, hurt the ones we love and destroy our lives. They often hinder us from moving forward and experiencing God and the life He has given to us. The good news is that there is hope, grace, redemption and freedom!
This Breaking Free conference is for men who are bound to problems and struggles and wish to be set free from the chains of bondage through the freedom of Jesus Christ. Only Christ can break you free from these strongholds and set you on the path to freedom!
The evening will start with powerful teachings and culminate with breakout sessions that will bring about a total healing. Throughout the conference you will:
Hear the testimonies of men whose problems and struggles have destroyed their lives but through the grace of God have been restored.
Learn how spiritual wounds make you vulnerable to destructive behaviors and the way to heal them.
Discover ways to safeguard yourself and those you love from the spirit of oppression.
Come and allow God to touch you and experience the healing power of God. This will be a night unlike any you have ever experienced!

Summer Praise Night! Speak to me Lord
April 29th, 2012
What would you give for some one-on-one time with the wisest Counselor in the universe? To have His listening ear as you sort through your challenges or to have Him speak a word of direction or encouragement directly into your situation? Talk about priceless! It doesn’t get any better than that!
But we’ve got to slow down long enough to hear Him speak! So we’re setting aside a whole Wednesday evening service just to worship our Lord and be refreshed and redirected by His Spirit. It can be life-changing! We hear testimonies all the time of how the Lord speaks so clearly and answers so many prayers as we worship! So that’s exactly what this evening is all about!
“Over the past year, during two different sermons from Pastor Mark, I have felt God say this should be our theme for our next praise night,” explained Jimmy Anderson, Worship Director over all of our campuses. “Our time of worship should be a two way conversation. A communion where we bring praises and worship to our God and He ministers to us through His unveiled knowledge of our deepest needs. We hope to provide a place in our fellowship where just such a communion can take place. “
This is a multi-campus event, so everyone from all of our campuses is invited. Worship leaders and praise team members from all four campuses, together with a combined choir from Melbourne, Viera and our Youth - plus the orchestra – will be leading us to the Throne! You don’t want to miss it!
So get the word out and get ready to hear from God! Children first grade and up will be in the sanctuary with their parents. Childcare will be available for infants through Kindergarten. For more information call the church office at 321.952.9673.

GMO Update
April 25th, 2012
On April 14-15, Pastor Mark introduced the Global Media Outreach opportunity to CCM, and many of you answered by becoming online missionaries to the world. If you haven’t joined yet, consider becoming part of a growing force of hundreds of online missionaries from CCM—ordinary folks just like you, who typically spend just a few minutes every day online. GMO is excited about CCM’s response to join in this ministry—one of the largest responses they have had to date! Answering emails from seekers who genuinely desire a relationship with God will help make an eternal impact. Becoming an online missionary will help you to always be ready to share your faith. Four easy steps to become an online missionary:
