A lot has been happening in East Orlando. In September my family and I were blessed to become part of the EO familiy. I can’t even put into words how blessed we are to serve with such an amazing group of people. Since then we’ve seen the women’s ministry get started, an amazing Fall Fest, and our men just had an awesome time at the RnR men’s retreat. God is on the move in EO and we’re blessed to be in the middle of what He’s doing. We’re excited about the holiday season and our Chirstmas Eve service at 6PM on December 24th. I’m looking forward to continued growth and blessing as we serve are awesome Lord and make Him look good.

We have been meeting as a church at the school since May 8th, so we now have been meeting at the church for 4 months. What have we seen God do? We have seen man people changed, and many lives changed. As I sit here and think about all of the faces. The faces of those who have begun new lives in Jesus, the faces of those who now “get it”, and the faces of everyone who works so hard, it is a little overwhelming. God has done so much in our midst…
And yet, there is still so much to be done. So many who have not heard the Word of the Lord. Get ready. We have only just begun. God is ready to do great and awesome things in EO.

It’s crazy to think that we have been meeting together as a church for the last 6 weeks. It’s amazing to see what God has already done in our midst. As I am writing this I am reminded of this line from a beautiful song, “greater things are still to be in this city…” Do you believe it? Are you praying for it?
Every day there is a weight upon my heart for our city. I am praying for us to see a God sized movement in Orlando! Be open, share your faith, pray daily for that opportunity for God to use YOU to share YOUR faith. HE will give you the words!
You were born for this – Bruce Wilkenson
Pastor Mark has been plugging this book for the last several weeks. I am reading this and it is awesome! Everyone should grab a copy. If you want to order it from our bookstore, please call the Chapel Store 321.952.6470 or email them thechapelstore@calvaryCCM.com and place your order. They will send over the purchased copies every weekend and you can pick them up at the information center.
IF NOTHING CHANGES, NOTHING CHANGES
This is one of Pastor Mark’s little sayings. What it means is that if you don’t do anything in your life to create a change, then there won’t be a change. Grab this book and learn the keys to unlocking everyday miracles.
Red Bracelets

We now have a new supply of Red Bracelets at the information center. If you pick one up, you need to go to the website and watch the series that was taught to go along with these. These bracelets are there to remind us to Follow Jesus and LIVE DANGEROUSLY!
Please watch these three teachings and be challenged about sharing your faith, not just with Christians from other churches, but most importantly, sharing your faith with Muslims, Buddists, the unchurched crowd, the “good” people who think they are going to heaven, but don’t know Jesus!
The teachings are all available on our website:

God bless you all and I can’t wait to see you this weekend!

Every time CCM launches a new church campus, we try to learn some valuable lessons from all the previous launches. East Orlando has been one of the easiest launches thanks to all the things we have learned from launching Viera and Sebastian. It was also easier due to Viera getting it’s own building and giving us a bunch of stuff to help get us up and running much more quickly. Stuff is good, but stuff can also be a problem, especially when you have to store it. We have had a growing amount of “stuff” since we got started 5 weeks. The stuff has been difficult to store and sometimes even more difficult to move around.
That’s when several of us got an idea. How could we come up with a quick, easy, sturdy way of storing all this “stuff” and move it around the school in a timely manner. The answer: 2×4’s, omni directional wheels, plastic tubs, a lot of screws, one really awesome trip to Lowe’s and Walmart, and yes a credit card. Aiden was along for the ride and kept count of everything we were getting.

So what do you get when you put all those cool components together? A stackable storage solution that is easy to pack, move, and unpack. A portable storage solution that we can simply wheel into our storage area and leave until the following week. We are going to be able to stack 4 tubs high and still fit through all the doors. The base has a rope with handle so we can save our hands. We are going to try out one of these babies this weekend and then see if there is anything else we need to add. After that we will build several of these to speed up the setup and tear down process.
The construction was pretty simple. Sarah had to show me ( I flunked boyscouts ) how tie a proper knot for the handle, but other than that little shortcoming, everything went together exactly as planned.

Our next project will be to build something to handle all the Pipes and Bases from our Pipe and Drape setup. Well that will be next…
See you guys this weekend!

Easter was a huge success this year, just like every year. This was the first year that the CCM: East Orlando had an Easter Service. This was also the first ever service where we had a full band. Many thanks go out to Monique, Jeremy, Richie, Jessica, and Ivan for blessing us all with such an amazing worship experience.
Easter was an exciting time to celebrate the resurrection together and a great reminder that “He is risen!”
The Lord moved in all our hearts this weekend, but it was an awesome and moving thing to see 5 of God’s
children come forward and rededicate their lives to Him! It was also exciting to see many new faces join us for the very first time. I am truly looking forward to continuing to meet new people.

The great thing about being part of East Orlando is the excitement of not knowing who God is going to
bring on any given weekend. Easter was fantastic, but I can’t help of thinking about this coming weekend and how much fun it is going to be! See you then!
We shared a very exciting weekend yesterday with Pottersfield ministry, as they ministered to our hearts through the powerful imagery of Jeremiah at the Potter’s House. It was exciting to see many people who made a commitment last weekend return this Sunday. Once again I can’t say enough about how awesome it is to be here, in God’s presence, as He continues to build His Church all around us and through us! Thank you to everyone who remembered to roll their clock’s back, and arrived on time! Thanks for the awesome dedication everyone has!
This was our last weekend with Jimmy Anderson leading worship for us. Next weekend will be the first of four weekends with Monique Glupker. Monique is an amazing worshipper and I am totally looking forward to spending the next four weeks with her as she leads our campus into worship of the living God. Join with me this weekend and make sure that Monique feels right at home in East Orlando.
Other exciting news from the weekend is the addition of a second home group. Frank and Joyce will be opening their home to host our second home group. We are planning on this new group getting started sometime shortly after Easter. Look for a signup and more information coming really soon. Speaking of Easter, start praying now about unchurched friends and relatives that you can invite to the Easter Service. It is happening soon!
God Bless you guys! See you this weekend!
Don’t forget to change your clocks on Saturday Night! I would hate for you to be late to Church.

Is God awesome or what? The CCM East Orlando Campus opened today with an awesome crowd. We around 160 adults and another 21 children. Those plus our workers put us squarely over 200! That is an awesome number, but here is an even better number! 5. Five people changed their lives during the service and were either saved or rededicated their lives to Christ today. We are not about numbers, but we are about people and lives that are changed!
The Team did a great job setting up and tearing down. Keep up the good work and get some much needed sleep. Continue to pray. God is only getting started with us! He wants to do so much more!
Here are some shots of the setup today! We had a great technical setup. The coffee and snack setup was equally impressive. Make sure to thank the ladies who faithfully brew the coffee and setup the snacks… Likewise, thanks the technical folks. Without them we don’t have multi-site church.
A large crowd from Calvary Chapel Melbourne East Orlando descended upon Bubba Lous Bodacious BBQ. The food was awesome, but the fellowship was better. We ended up hanging out until 3:00pm. We seem to be taking longer and longer lunches lately.

Aiden really wanted to drive the van back to Melbourne, but in the end the fact that he didn’t have license was enough to convince us that someone else should drive back.
Keep praying that God would use us all more to His Glory!
Don’t forget our Campus Verse!
PSA 127:1 – “Unless the LORD builds the house, its builders labor in vain.”
We have just 24 hours to go before the official Grand Opening of Calvary Chapel Melboure: East Orlando Campus! Get ready for what God is planning. We don’t know what to do, but He does. We will rely on God’s strength and the direction of the Holy Spirit as we continue this journey together!
Keep inviting your friends and I’ll see you this weekend!

This weekend we are out of the house and into the school! Saturday February 21st begins our 2 weekends of prep before the grand opening of the East Orlando Campus on March 7th. Yesterday our Haivision Barracuda Video Encoder arrived. This gadget turns regular Video into a Video Campus. The Decoding or Recieving side will arrive later this week. We have already done some early testing and this should work out quite nicely!

Today I also found out that we won’t have the sound system in time for the weekend, so we are working on a plan to have something there to produce sound.
Reminder
We are meeting at the school at 7:30 this weekend! This will give us ample time to get coffee, donuts, and a church built. Come dressed to impress….Just kidding, wear your jeans and comfortable shoes. We’ll be hauling, setting up and tearing down! We are also praying that we get it all done in time to watch the service!
Double Reminder
Remember that God is doing the hard work. We are just along for the ride! That doesn’t mean you won’t sweat working for him, but rest assured that HE is doing the hardest part. GOD is preparing to move both in and through you! Everyone should keep the new campus in Prayer!
