We’re Home!

Hi Everyone!

So much to tell! God put us together for such a time as this. The right people at the right time in the right place. God’s love has grown inside each one of us, within the team, and then outside to others.

Our missionaries, Karen and Chug, said they knew we were prayed up before we came, that we understood spiritual warfare and the power of prayer to push through the circumstances.  We continued to ask Him for guidance and direction.  We know of 5 young people and 1 adult that gave themselves to the Lord.   Including a young man … Continue Reading

Shoe Outreach and a Pow Wow

We are fine.  We have no internet or cell phone connections.  You could say that God put our team on a media fast.

We have had to rely on modern smoke signals. Talking to people in person and going door-to-door to invite people to outreaches.  In the small communities that we have been to, this has been quite effective.

The shoe outreach on Sunday had an overwhelming number of children.  At least 60 children were ministered to with song, crafts, story time, coloring, face painting, and playing.  Wow, to wash feet, put on new clean socks, and give each child a brand … Continue Reading

South Dakota Team Update

19 team members left CCM on Thursday, July 15th to head to the Orlando airport to catch our flight.    The last five team members were having a difficult time getting through the airport security line.  They stopped and prayed and God answered prayer within moments.  Everyone made it to the plane on time.  We had a 3 hour layover at O’Hare airport in Chicago which gave the team time to eat lunch and fellowship.  Upon reaching Rapid City, South Dakota, our missionary hosts Karen and Chug met us.  Wow, we are really here!!  Beautiful sunshine, cool breeze, and the plains.  … Continue Reading

South Dakota Mission Team Leaves Tomorrow, July 15th

Welcome to our blog …… the first mission team blog to be posted on the CCM missions site.  We are excited to see what the Lord has in store for us as we minister to the Lakota tribe in west central South Dakota.  We have 19 willing bodies ready to do whatever He commands.  We have planned to do a Teen Night (the suicide rate among teens on the reservation is very high) in hopes of pulling some teens into the church,and getting them excited about living their lives for Jesus.  Popcorn, a movie, mime, games, and just socializing will … Continue Reading
