We are trying to get our blog running again, please forgive us as most of our time is in ministry.
We started a 2nd youth group about an hour north of Huacho on Saturday.

We it was a great time in the states this time, raising awareness of global missions, and what God is doing in Peru. We spent thirty days going from home group to home group. We were able to get to all four CCM campuses, and we were invited to share at the new Surf Side Calvary Chapel on the beach. What a blessing, we were so blessed by being around our Calvary family. We need your prayers, as many of you all know that Daisy’s resident visa has new home land security rules, and wont allow her to travel in and out of the USA, it was designed for someone to actually live and work in the states. Well, the INS (US Immigrations) advised us to go ahead and get her Citizenship so she could travel, or live abroad. So with that we are gathering all the paperwork that is requested, and then it has to be submitted to the INS office and then they will give her her first appointment. This is to see that everything is in order, take her fingerprints and give her a date to take the exam for naturalization. this could take up to 90 days, then if she passes the exam she will need to go to the ceremony and swear her in, and present her with a certificate. Then, she will be able to apply for a USA passport. Please pray for God’s provision, and for patience on both sides. We are a team unit, and the ministry here in Peru is not the same with out her. Sometimes we take for granite the things most dear to us, and we don’t realize what we have until it is gone. God is faithful, and we just wait and trust in Him, and we are praying that God will teach us what we are supposed to do in this trial, because everything is for a reason, and we need to remain teachable. Blessing to all. In His Grip, Craig, Daisy, and Ryan
We went down to Pisco with 45 youth from Gracia Calvary Chapel to help out with the Freedom Celebration for Easter.
Friday Nights witnessing in Huacho.
Please start praying for our outreach this July and the first service of our church plant in Huacho.
Wow, it just seemed like 2009 was just here and now were in the third month of 2010! Maybe I am getting older, since last month was my birthday and I turned 49 it appears that the years are flying by faster? This last week was good, and busy. Last week was week 3 of our new satellite Bible College campus in CC Gracia on the other side of Lima from the main campus where Rick is. I am teaching the book of Acts, as I wanted to teach this book 9 months ago, the Lord has provided in His timing a way for me to teach it now. I teach every Monday at CCBC/Gracia, and on Fridays I am in Huacho doing a bible study. But, last Thursday Pastor Rick and I went to Huacho to scope out the land for our “Gospel Invasion” in July with the Melbourne youth team that is coming. Rick and I went to all the areas which we have been ministering to, and a little tour of the city. We checked on prices for motel’s, what and where we could eat, and a somewhat start on the planning of a large outreach. While Rick and I were on the top of the cliffs looking over the city and the port, a man came running down the hill to rob my back pack and had a knife in his hand, as I did not see this coming, Rick yelled out “Craig Duck” and Rick pushed the guy away and said: “In the Name of Jesus Christ-Leave” and the guy walked away. As my heart was pounding, Rick comes out and says; “To bad we are not more used to this, we should of taken advantage of the moment and shared the Gospel with him?” I did not share the same feelings at the time or feel very spiritual at this moment, maybe something like Peter, or John would have done? As we left, and shared some fish at the port, we went to the house of a mother of a girl who goes to Rick’s church. She lives in Huacho and her grandpa is dying of cancer. We, we found out that her mom was not really walking with the Lord, and was on the edge trying to take care of her dad, and just mentally loosing it. She rededicated her life to the Lord, and said her dad was a tough character and would not want anything to do with us. Well Rick having discernment in this moment and told the old man, we were his granddaughter’s friends, and he loved his granddaughter dearly and the door was wide open. We found some common ground in a couple of areas to build his confidence and then shared the gospel. In just a short time, this man was receiving Christ with tears of joy and repented of his sins. We knew that this was not of our selves but just being available for this divine appointment. Our bus got a flat on the way home and we could not fit on the next bus passing by, but the third bus that came by it only had two seats available. Rick and I jumped on, the seat that Rick took there was a lady who spoke English and heard the gospel and would like to attend Rick’s church. The lady I sat next to was a realtor who sold and rented houses and apartments in Huacho where we want to move to this year. Wow, only God could arrange something like that! Friday I went to the Andes to teach for Inter-Varsity / IFES to a group of students in Huancayo, I was invited to teach Inductive Bible Study, and church leadership for those wanting to serve in their churches. I then came back on the bus Saturday night to arrive in Lima Sunday morning and get right back on a bus to go to Caral / Huacho with a group from my language class as a part of culture training that is included as part of the course. We got the bus stuck in a river for over three hours, and I prayed with the only Christian on the trip. Well, that was the third time I was stuck this month, the first time was February 4th in the jungle our boat ran out of gas at 11:00 at night as we were coming back from showing the Hope movie to a tribe of Chipibu Indians deep into the Amazon Basin. Ok God what are you trying to teach me? “Be completely dependent upon Him for every detail”
Hey everyone, well we are getting closer to moving to Huacho every day. The doors keep opening, and it is getting hard to follow through on all of them because we still live and minister in Lima. We just need the Lord to confirm His will by providing a place for us to live as we continue to look. Please pray for our Summer Invasion Outreach and our continuing efforts on the University of Huacho’s campus as we are holding weekly bible studies with students. God has provided a meeting place on campus in a local restaurant, and a place we can hold meetings, and studies off campus. We have open doors to do bible studies in the prison, we have been invited to hold bible studies and share our faith at the Lion’s Club nursing home with the staff and the people who live there. Also, Pastor Rick and myself are going to Huacho tomorrow to scope out the land and see how we are going to pull off this Summer Invasion, and we have been invited to go start something with the local orphanage. The Harvest is white, and the workers are few. We have been witnessing to youth on the street, skate boarders, and young adults that go from cantina to cantina. The main square in town is a local gathering place (fishing hole) and it is a prime place just to hand out tracks and share our faith to all who will listen. The majority of people want to know the truth, and we are not the only ones out there as the JW’s are in large numbers trying to deceive the people. Pray for our trip tomorrow and Sunday.

I am still in AWE of what our Lord is doing here in Peru. This year has just started and we are well on our way. It seems like it was just a few weeks ago and we were with Calvary Chapel San Diego ministering together in Cajamarca and I get an e-mail saying that CCMV wants to go there over the North American summer vacation! When we were there in January, God moved in a mighty way with the mountain community pastors. And the amazing church service that is in the animal auction.
We invited children to come to the VBS that we held in the park, if your available they will come! And even when a bunch of kids thought that they would be a distraction, but God had a plan for their lives as they all excepted Christ into their hearts.
Then we headed back to Lima after a fruitful time at the conference that was held in CC Cajamarca. When we got to Lima, we then went to CC Ventanilla with our dear friend Pastor Raul. We worked around the church, and did a VBS along side CC San Diego leading the children through the Romans Road to salvation.
Woops, how do you rotate the pictures in this program, ugh… Well to top off a great trip with CC San Diego we served at Pastor Diego’s wedding as they renewed their vows in front of their church, family and dear christian brother’s and sisters. Congratulations guys…
